Our presence in Africa

AECI Water acquired the Water & Process Technologies business of SUEZ in Sub-Saharan Africa in 2012. Shortly thereafter, AECI Water acquired Clariant’s Business Line Water Treatment (Clariant BLWT). These acquisitions provided strong regional representation and technology that was complementary to AECI Water’s existing resources and resulted in AECI Water’s geographical footprint expanding to include the entire Sub-Saharan Africa region.

In addition to these acquisitions, AECI Water has formal Distribution Agreements with a number of companies in Sub-Saharan Africa to support AECI Water’s in-country presence and to expand local capabilities. These synergies will be further enhanced through investment in plant and resources to ensure ongoing commitment to localisation targets and improving service delivery to our customers.
